Montclair State PD Under Fire After Campus Arrest Video Goes Viral on First Day of Classes

As the first day of classes began bright and early, Montclair State University found itself in the midst of a controversy by the afternoon after a video circulated Twitter of an arrest made by Montclair State police officers. A Furry Approach to De-Stressing Before Finals

Montclair State University is in the midst of its final week of the semester. This is accompanied with final exams, projects and papers, which leaves students with last-minute stress. With this in mind, the Health Promotion Center held Furry Friends for Finals in room 110 in Sprague Library where students could stop by and pet several therapy dogs in order to alleviate some of the stresses associated with finals week. Airhead Advisory Warns of Anonymous Seller

The Montclair State University Police Department sent out an advisory in January after receiving two similar solicitation reports. The most recent report was submitted by the mother of a student with special needs. Her son was tricked into handing over his ATM card to an unknown male outside of the Student Center selling Airhead candies. Reports of Sexual Harassment and Racism at Alexus Steakhouse Upset Montclair State Students

New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino said in a statement that Alexus Steakhouse provided $50,000 to a female worker who was sexually harassed in the workplace as well as $30,000 divided between several employees that received racist comments and nationality-related discrimination by former manager John Magliaro, according to a nj.com report.
