The Carpenter Poem

I took down my walls for you...

I took down my walls for you

Feeding you my life brick by brick

Building you up as I tore myself down

And even though I had never asked

I’d expected you to do the same

But now I live in a house with no walls

My foundation is cracked and I feel myself

Sinking deeper and deeper into the black hole forming at my feet

Calling me in.
