Montclair State University Greek Life took to the Student Center Quad this on Wednesday afternoon, for a special organization fair just for Greeks to help potential new members find their fit.
36 Greek organizations, including four recently colonized fraternities, from various councils and houses, filled up the quad with brightly decorated tables and giant wooden Greek letters to show the Montclair State students what Greek Life is all about.
It was vital for each organization to showcase what set them apart from the rest, from educating students on their philanthropies, how their organization is involved on the Montclair State campus and beyond and what it means to be a brotherhood or sisterhood where everyone shares the same passion for service and unity.
Featuring DJing courtesy of Baseline, there were constantly Greek organization members on the dance floor. Multicultural organizations and organizations of the Divine Nine Greek House kept the dance floor filled with their signature “stepping,” “strolling” and “hopping” moves.
Amanda Riehl, Graduate Assistant of Greek Life Affairs, who works alongside Emily Cordero, the Greek Life Advisor, enjoyed watching each organization discuss why their organizations became their new home at Montclair State.
“I think it’s really awesome to see all the organizations in one place, displaying pride for one another and their own organizations as well,” said Riehl.
This fair was the second consecutive week in a row the Greek organizations set up in the student center quad to meet potential new members and Greek Life on campus will be hosting another entirely Greek event next week.
