Men’s and Women’s Soccer Both Ousted in NCAA Second Round

After victories in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, both the men’s and women’s soccer team failed to continue in the tournament after losses to Tufts University and Messiah College, respectively.

Men’s soccer managed to tie up the score against Tufts before the first half finished and took the lead 2-1 at 54:02. With less than seven minutes left in the game, Tufts evened the score and then, just over three minutes later, secured the victory with a goal by Connor Brown. The Red Hawks finished the season 19-3-1.

Women’s soccer faced the no. 1 seed in the tournament, Messiah College on Sunday. The Falcons were undefeated going into the game and were able to score three goals against the Red Hawks, leaving the score 3-0 at the game’s close. After this loss, the Red Hawks’ season record is 15-4-2.
